The 6th
Pro Tips
A pretty par three flanked by gorse on all sides. Usually plays half a club more than the 4th hole and is guarded to the left and right with Bunkers. The right half of the green is the line and the back of the green is the safe spot to play for.
Firle Beacon
Whilst on the 6th tee look behind you to see in the distance the very prominent Firle Beacon. Standing at 217 metres it is classed as a Marilyn which is a hill that has a drop of more than 150 metres on all sides. A Marilyn is officially a smaller version of a Munroe! At the top of the Beacon is a Long Barrow, known as the Giants Grave, most likely it is a Neolithic collective burial tomb.
