The yardage of this hole can be ignored, it plays longer than it appears and distance control is vital, going past the pin will leave a treacherous putt down the hill. With a bunker guarding the right half of the green, short left is not a bad place to finish.
Did You Know?
On the 4th tee turn to look behind you. The hill in the distance is Mount Caburn on the summit of which is an early Iron Age fort. Folklore claims that the hill was formed by a clod of soil thrown by the Devil as he dug Devils Dyke, and that a giant by the name of Gill walked the slopes and enjoyed throwing his hammer from the highest point.
